Is it just me, or is the Tahiti contest the most anticipated sporting event a surfer is ever going to witness?
This is it, its like the perfect storm, we've got 3 to 4 days of swell with double over head surf for the 1st day, then it just get bigger and bigger and bigger.
Who would want to be a pro in Tahiti right now? Not me...Its got to be a serious head F*%K, the mental side of this comp is something that no one has spoken about but the air must be thick at the end of the road tonight, thick with the smell of some guys shiting themselves..
And for us.... Well, we've got the internet, we've got every heat live, every wipe out on-line and we've got 32 surfers that have to go out and not only prove to themselves that they can take off, but also show us they can throw them selves over the ledge!
Bring it on mullets, this is the 1st time its really happened with the internet and T.V streaming it live, its exciting, I just hope no one get seriously hurt.
