Death of the Oceans?

An absolute must see for any one who has a love affair with the Oceans.

A hard hitting documentary by Sir David Attenborough, The Death of the Oceans is airing on SBS1 this Tuesday night the 30th of November2010 at 7.30pm, put it in your diary and tell everyone...

Here's part 1 of 4 if you don't live in Australia. You can find the rest on Youtube... get inspired!

The facts – today, four billion years after they were formed, our oceans continue to dictate life on earth, David explains. That's unsurprising when you realise that with an area of 360 million square kilometres, the world is actually more than 70 per cent water.
Without oceans, life would never have come about.
Yet, us humans are doing our darnedest to mess things up.
Fish stocks have been drying up for decades, largely due to our giant ships, hi-tech sonar and nets as long as 60 kilometres. And still we plunder the seas at will.
Air transit and polystyrene cooler boxes have made any kind of living creature from the sea available anywhere else in the world within 24 hours.
Such pressure is having a profound effect on this eco-system, says David.
Pass it on and lets get active kids, its our most precious Worldly asset!!!
